Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic therapy, otherwise known as root canal treatment,  is the removal of the pulp tissue from the tooth. The pulp tissue refers to the nerve and blood vessels of the tooth. Endodontic therapy may be necessary to save your natural tooth if the pulp tissue is irreversibly damaged by bacteria associated with decay, very deep fillings, tooth fracture or trauma or even periodontal disease.

The procedure involves little or no pain. The number of visits needed depends on the location of the tooth and therefore the number of roots present.
